- Primary care team clinicians include: 7 pediatricians. 2 Med/Peds MD. 4 Family practice. 11 IM MD & 3 APC’s.
- APC team available to see overflow acute patients as needed to keep patients out of urgent care settings.
- On site nursing triage team to support clinicians during daytime hours and provide patient education.
- Physician leadership embedded in department. Physician mentorship available and welcomed.
- Outpatient only
- Part of a call team that uses a nurse triage call center. 85% of calls are handled through the call center and calls that come through are 1 – 3 minutes in duration Just a clarifying note that this is for after hours call.
- Internal medicine and family practice call have separate after hours call groups but both are large groups and call responsibility is minimal.
- One of the largest multi-sites in the area with imaging, pharmacy, lab, physical/ occupational therapy, urgent care, and full complement of medical and surgical specialists
- Collegial relationship with specialists allowing for case discussions
- Behavior Health is embedded into the primary care department to provide more timely care for adult patients. BH also available for clinician to clinician consults through presence on site.
- The family medicine team is newer in the past few years and we have been able to grow pediatric volumes consistent with our other family medicine groups within the Aurora system to about 10%
- The site has a legacy in the community and the neighborhood is very nice and not in a dangerous part of the city.
