Highlights
We’re seeking an experienced and visionary Medical Director, BMT and Cellular Therapies to join the Atrium Health Levine Children’s Hospital Cancer and Blood Disorders Program in vibrant Charlotte, North Carolina. This pivotal role offers the opportunity to guide and grow a key program, uniting a talented team and transforming lives in this expanding region serving North and South Carolina.Atrium Health Levine Children’s Hospital’s Cancer and Blood Disorders Program is proud to be the largest pediatric oncology provider in the Carolinas offering comprehensive, disease-specific clinics, including Solid Tumor, Neuro-Oncology, Leukemia/Lymphoma, Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT), Sickle Cell Disease, Hemostasis and Thrombosis, Hematology, and Supportive Medicine.  It currently consists of:
  • 11 Pediatric Hematology/Oncology physicians
  • 3 BMT physicians
  • 16 Advanced Practice Providers

As Medical Director, you will:

  • Shape the future of cellular therapies, advancing Atrium Health Levine Children’s reputation as a regional and national leader.
  • Lead program growth and innovation, expanding access and impact.
  • Position Atrium Health Levine Children’s as a national leader in malignant and non-malignant transplants.
  • Unify and elevate the cellular therapies program, fostering teamwork and innovation.
  • Establish standards that enhance outpatient care and physician engagement.
  • Serve as a trusted leader within the hospital, aligning program goals with the broader mission of Atrium Health
Training and/or Experience Required

We’re seeking a leader with:

  • Board certification in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology.
  • Proven experience in pediatric cellular therapies and transplantation.
  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills that inspire collaboration and unity.
  • A passion for innovation and a vision for the future of cellular therapies.
  • Academic achievements to support appointment as Associate or Full Professor with Wake Forest University School of Medicine.
