Atrium Health Navicent Medical Group is recruiting for a Pediatric Adolescent Medicine Physician in the beautiful and historic Macon, Georgia area. Atrium Health Levine Children’s Beverly Knight Olson Children’s Hospital (AHLCBKOCH) is the regions only dedicated pediatric hospital and one of the largest pediatric providers in the State. Serving 45,000 plus patients annually from 29 primary and 50 secondary Central and South Georgia counties, The AHLCBKOCH hospital includes 4 dedicated pediatric operating rooms, 22 beds dedicated to general pediatrics, a 66-bed neonatal intensive care unit, 11 bed pediatric intensive care unit, a 10-bed pediatric intermediate care unit and dedicated pediatric critical care and pediatric hospitalist teams. AHLCBKOCH has a pediatric outpatient procedural area and a full range of pediatric diagnostic services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clinical Care: Provide diagnostic, preventive, and therapeutic services to adolescents, managing conditions such as reproductive health, eating disorders, substance use, and mental health issues.
  • Education: Lead resident and medical student rotations, delivering lectures, teaching in clinical settings, and mentoring learners. Develop and refine educational curricula to ensure residents gain expertise in adolescent medicine.
  • Research: Engage in scholarly activities, including clinical or translational research, and contribute to academic publications. Support residents in developing their own research projects.
  • Leadership & Service: Contribute to the scholarly mission of the department with focus on junior faculty and trainee. Advocate for adolescent health and contribute to institutional committees and quality improvement initiatives.


Training and/or Experience Required

Qualifications:

  • MD, DO, or equivalent medical degree.
  • Board-certified or board-eligible in Adolescent Medicine or Pediatrics or Med-Peds.
  • Experience in teaching and mentoring residents and fellows.
  • Active Georgia License or ability to obtain.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
