- The Department of Solid Tumor Oncology and Investigational Therapeutics is expanding and seeking a board-certified medical oncologist with special interest in/ specializing in melanoma to join its Section of Cutaneous Oncology at the level of Assistant Professor or above. The Cutaneous Oncology section is committed to providing outstanding patient care, through innovative research trials with a strong focus on immunotherapy, to patients with melanoma, Merkel cell carcinoma, and other non-melanoma skin cancers.
- This position is based in Charlotte you will build an outpatient cutaneous malignancy practice.
- The successful candidate will have the opportunity to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team that provides a range of therapies, including Mohs micrographic surgery, surgical oncology, reconstructive surgery, dermatologic oncology, radiation therapy, chemotherapy, molecularly targeted therapies, and various forms of immunotherapy.
- As a member of this section, the candidate is expected to participate in clinical research through developing, conducting and supporting investigator initiated, cooperative group or pharmaceutical sponsored clinical trials.
- Teaching responsibilities would involve oversight of trainees during outpatient and inpatient clinical activities, in concert with the educational programs of the Department.
- Shared weekday and weekend hospital coverage with 15 other physicians
