Highlights

  • Full-time, faculty role with appointment subject to Dean's office approval
  • Inpatient and Outpatient
  • Office hours are M-F 8:00a - 5:00p 
  • Call is proportionate to group GI providers  
  • Endoscopy, Reading Motility studies, Hydrogen Breath Test interpretation, and other evaluations
  • EPIC EMR
  • Be part of an integrated nationally recognized organization with physician-led medical group and embedded service line
  • Leverage access to DAX Copilot, an AI-powered clinical documentation tool integrated with Epic, streamlining clinical workflows by generating draft patient notes for efficient review, editing, and signature
  • Experience an environment that provides safe and equitable care for all patients
Training and/or Experience Required
  • MD/DO Degree and ACGME US internal medicine internship and residency
  • Completed 3-year ACGME US gastroenterology/hepatology fellowship
  • Provide case logs for core and non-core endoscopic procedures (2 years), including motility studies (Endoflip, Bravo pH, Dilations, Gastric interrogations for stimulators if performed, esophageal and anorectal manometry, Ph study readings)
  • BE/BC in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology 
  • Valid unrestricted North Carolina Medical License or eligible to apply
  • Valid DEA licensure
  • Current ACLS and BLS certification required
  • Previous experience reading motility studies and overseeing studies performed.
